More program information
DRC Juniors come from over twenty different schools across the Dallas metro area and routinely qualify for academic and athletic college scholarships. We have DRC athletes rowing at Boston University, Michigan State, Navy, St. Joseph’s University, UMass, University of Texas, SMU, USD, and Stanford to name a few.
Athletes can join the team as early as 6th grade and can compete starting their freshman year. Our season runs from August to May and is split into a fall and spring season.
DRC Juniors practice 13 hours per week. Practices are held Monday through Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Practices are mandatory for high school athletes, as this is the minimum time investment for an athlete to be successful in our region. Our middle school athletes, 6th - 8th grade, are only required to attend three practices each week.
